The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) proudly presents the Research and Innovation Competitiveness Summit, scheduled on June 25-27, 2024. This three-day summit is a convergence of thought leaders, educators, research managers, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts, all committed to advancing the research and innovation ecosystem in the Philippines.

The Summit aligns with the strands of the Platform for Innovating SUCs for Industry 4.0 (PISI), PASUC’s flagship program for research and innovation endeavors. PISI aims to empower Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and ensure that the intellectual capital of the Philippine State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) effectively catalyzes scientific and technological innovation, economic competitiveness, and inclusive growth in the knowledge economy.

Designed to address critical challenges and unlock new opportunities within the SUCs, the Summit’s strategic focus is on enhancing research productivity, fostering regional specialization, aligning academic research with industry needs, and shaping actionable policy recommendations. These efforts aim to drive significant progress in the nation’s research and innovation ecosystem.

Participants will engage in a series of interactive discussions, dynamic workshops, and collaborative sessions, each targeting key objectives crucial to enhancing the competitive edge of Philippine research and innovation.
